Keatley Cowgirl

By Astyn Reid

As the rodeos begin to come to an end in the Victoria/South Australia regions our keatley cowgirl has been busy trying to get to as many rodeos as she can. This weekend saw her compete across 3 professional rodeos with competitors travelling from all over Australia trying to pick up money to go towards the 2016/17 end of year standings that finish in October.

Tammy started the run of rodeos on a high picking up first place in the open barrel racing at Kyabram and then travelling onto Merrijig rodeo to pick up second place. The final rodeo for the long weekend was Chiltern where Tammy and her horse Jimmie Dee put together another solid run however just finished outside of the placings! With over 30 barrel racers at each rodeo it is great to see our Keatley cowgirl mixing it with the best!

After the weekend Tammy has moved within the top 15 in Australia for the Australian Professional Rodeo Circuit. We wish her a very successful end to the season as we will see her competing at 4 rodeos throughout Victoria over Easter in April.
